A PROMISE .....

I'll be back...

Saturday 20 June 2009

A SUN-RAY OF HOPE????

... despite the torrential rains of the last days something moved on the building site.It wasn't just Peter with a five o'clock shadow of several days, hang-over and muddy boots. There was a lorry load of various logs, planks and a couple of cubic meters of fire wood. At long last.
This will change all my plans. No sea beaches for us in the next month or so. I just have to make sure that everything will go accordingly to my design. Already there are some discrepancies in the laundry! Wrong tiles in the wrong places!!! Most desagreable.

MORE SWEARING, CURSING AND WHINING...

..... what can I say... the walls of my new house are fine saplings in a far, far away forest...

YES, I AM READY TO TAKE A FIRST BOAT INTO A SUNSET...

The studio is finished - the roof terrace on it awaits tiles and the balustrade around the edge.

Everything is going ever so sloooooooooooow! People are dishonest and unreliable! Didn't write much lately - didn't want to whine and swear.- The cellars are finished. Nothing can go further because the fuck that was supposed to start the wooden part is changing the dates and not answering the calls. The latest is that he will build in June and by the end of August I will be able to move in... Seeing is believing.

VICISSITUDES OF MY BUILDING SITE...

After an initial quick tempo everything slowed down quite conciderably. But not altogether! Despite the adverse weather conditions - wet snow, sticky mud and low temperatures - something IS happening! The swimming pool looks quite promissing, the cellars are under a roof and the little steps are almost finished. The sewedge plant is ready for action...
The heating system and connection to the gas supply was planned for this week - will it happen? - I ask myself. In the meantime the guy who will build the wooden part is preparing to start after Easter.- Till then the gas and electricity connections should be finished and the drive tidied up for his transport etc.
I am a little concerned - but far from biting finger nails, yet!
